What Should Christians Do With Tiger Woods?

The past few weeks have been bad for Tiger, from getting caught in his adultery to losing many of his sponsorships, like AT&T, and having others reduced, like Gatorade.

But it’s not all horrible news for the star golfer, EA Sports recently said that they were going to stick with Tiger, and one of their best selling franchises as they’re getting ready to launch an online version of their Tiger Woods PGA game.

To further the national obsession with Tiger Gate (I just made that up, but I’m sure I’m not the first), Brit Hume told Tiger he needed to convert to Christianity, because Bhuddism doesn’t offer the same type of forgiveness that Christianity does, causing a lot of Christian/Non-Christian debate (or hate, depending on how you look at it). Personally, I don’t think that Tiger needs Christianity (*gasp!*) I think he needs Jesus. Only Jesus can forgive him for what’s happened, and heal him so that he can “be a great example to the world” as Brit Hume said.

So then, what should we, as Christians, do with Tiger? Should we love him or hate him? Should we stop watching Golf (for those of us that do) or form picket lines outside of the tournaments he goes to from here on out?

If you’ve been reading In It With You for long, you know what my answer is. But I’ll pose the question to you: What do you think?
